Native Plants – Use of plant species originating from the region, for the preservation of the local ecosystem.
Exotic Plants and Xeriscaping – Use of species with low water requirement and/or Medicinal functions.
Biodiversity – Plants with different functions: Protection against soil loss (liners), projection of shade (trees), noise barrier and windbreak (trees and bushes).
Transplantation of Species – Reuse of existing plants
Green Roofs – Thermal Comfort, Reduction of energy expenditure, Reuse of water by abstraction.
Green Walls – Thermal and Acoustic Comfort.
Natives Orchards – Attraction of birds and wild animals, food production, economical sustainability, increased social interaction.
Vegetable gardens – Wicking Beds system, food production, economical sustainability, increased social interaction.
Sowing and Weeding – Propagation of plant species by seed, or division of stems, contributing to the increase of native plants and trees.
Composters – Transformation of organic materials into usable product for plant nutrition, improvement of aeration and soil drainage and collaboration for the appearance of healthy worms and insects.
Organic Spraying and Fertilization – Establishing the balance of nature using natural methods of fertilization and pest control.
Selective Waste Collection – Consists of the separation of waste in order to be used for later recycling.
Reuse of Gray Waters – Appropriate treatment through an efficient system of shower, sink, tank and sanitary flushing system, for use in irrigation, floor washing and flushing system.
Rainwater Harvesting – Conditioning of rainwater in Cistern for use in automated Irrigation, Fountains and Faucets, External Cleaning and External Toilet Flushing.
Automatic Irrigation – Automatic irrigation system of the garden, with the use of conditioned rainwater in cistern, providing total water saving, besides providing the right amount for each plant species.
Drainage Floors – Floors that allow permeability of water and recharge of aquifers.
Drainage System – Improvement of soil permeability, facilitating the superficial drainage of water, using gratings in necessary places, avoiding the rotting of the roots of the plants.
Fountains and Faucets – Use of conditioned rainwater in cistern, and water reuse in own source, with automatic return system.
Low Consumption Metals with Timers – External Showers and Faucets with Time Valves.
Natural Pools and Lakes – Use of UV filters and salinization, no use of chemicals. Cleaning of water made through existing aquatic plants in small pond coupled to pool, in a minor drop. These plants function as a natural biological filter. Use of stones of different sizes, for retention of nutrients that will be absorbed by the plants. Operation of the water circulation pump between the pool and the lake, powered by solar panels. Also use of running water from river or spring to feed the pool, returning used water, to nature itself.
Solar Heater – Solar Energy Capture, through panels, for heating the pool water and external shower.
Solar Panel – Solar Energy Capture, through photovoltaic panels, allowing self-sufficiency in External Lighting, Garden Irrigation Controller, Security Cameras, Electric Fences, Shower Timers, Ecological fireplace, Presence Sensors and Battery Charger.
LED lighting – Increased Lighted efficiency useful, non-ultraviolet emission, recyclable and low maintenance requirement.
Light automation – Presence Sensors for automatic switch off of external lights and light dimmer.
Security Automation – Security Camera System and Automated Electrical Fences, powered by the use of solar panels.
Ecological Fireplaces – Made for use with renewable energy, the most ecological of 4 existing types, would be the gel and with scrap woods (use with present fire), but can be electric powered with solar energy
External Architecture – Gazebos, orchids, decks, pergolas, trusses, special benches, etc … garden structures built with ecologically correct materials.
Certified and/or Recycled Furniture – Use of furniture where the raw material comes from sustainable management. Also reuse of existing furniture, giving them a new design and use.
Certified and/or Recycled Woods – Use of wood for the project of decks, pergolas, benches, etc. … from planted and sustainable forests.
Recycling of Products – Reuse and use of all types of material that would be discarded.
Conscious Maintenance – The secret of good management of green spaces and gardens maintained in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way is the permanent surveillance, allowing the detection and preventive action of risk situations. Practical gardening tasks such as proper watering, insect control, pruning and fertilizing the soil, constantly done so that the garden does not deteriorate, are some of the actions that must be done constantly.
Tesla Solar Roof – Unlike the common photovoltaic installations used in some homes to capture solar energy, the “Solar Roof” has a design that blends the residence, such as a traditional mud tile or slate. But the roof of Tesla is made of tempered glass and textured, being three times stronger than ordinary tiles. They are ultra-resistant to shock and hail, wind and fire, and therefore have “infinite” guarantee. The product today is only available for sale in the US but will soon be expanded to other countries.
Ecological Sheds – Architectural structures built in external areas and in the garden, made with sustainable raw materials such as steel frame, wood frame, adobe, recycled wood, etc. … and also with solar shingles and natural ventilation or green ceilings. True external rooms can have several functions: an orchid room, small office, atelier, reading room, tool storage, hobby gardening among others … to a hydro room, or a guest room.
